Sol Dans Company is delighted to announce the appointment of Gregory Apostolidis as Co-Artistic Director. Gregory brings an incredible range of skills and experiences for crafting, developing and enabling artistic and creative projects. He will work alongside the Founder and Artistic Director Melody Squire to build on the success of the company, to develop the company’s strategic and artistic vision, create new work, and educational opportunities.

Melody and Gregory said:

We are thrilled for this collaboration that has surfaced over a casual cup of coffee. We have previously worked together and have immense admiration for each other’s work. We are eager to share our passion for theatre and dance to develop concepts and ideas, to inspire individuals and different groups of people and to change lives through the experience of dance.

Sol Dans has performed at some of the most notable theaters and festivals including UK Music Video Awards, Robin Howard Dance Theatre, Cloud Dance Festival, and Lilian Baylis Theatre at Sadlers Wells.

In addition to performance and choreography, Sol Dans Company engages audiences of all ages through outreach and education programs. The company teaches weekly Open company classes at the renowned Pineapple Dance Studios. Sol Dans provides regular workshops and open rehearsals at Chisenhale Dance Space.

Through the formation of SD2, Sol Dans's mentoring and training company, SD2 develops early-career artists, identifying emerging choreographers and cultivating creativity through collaboration, experimentation and performance.
