Sol Dans company is a London based dance company, renowned for creating dance that is accessible and enriching to diverse audiences. Founded in 2007 by American artistic director Melody Squire, Sol Dans is known for its innovative movement, emotive content and dynamic athleticism. Sol Dans in partnership with Great Lake Films has created Then Dance, a series of narrative dance films funded by Arts Council England. The series uses dance to speak to young people and explore social issues. Then Dance was recently nominated for a National Lottery Award, 'Best use of public funds in the arts'.

Through the formation of SD2, Sol Dans's mentoring and training company, SD2 develops early-career artists, identifying emerging choreographers and cultivating creativity through collaboration, experimentation and performance.
